Chiara is a licensed physical therapist based in New York who also has experience working in the Philippines as a licensed physical therapist. She has worked with various health conditions like stroke, parkinsons, sports injuries, joint replacements, peripheral nerve injuries (carpal tunnel, etc.), muscular dystrophy, lymphedema, repetitive strain injuries, low back pain, neck and shoulder pain, arthritis, etc. Chiara is passionate about education and is delighted when patients have questions about their health. She loves helping people understand their body better and how to better take care of themselves.
In addition to her clinical practice, she co-authored a position statement with the President and the Auditor of the Philippine Association of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist, influencing the legislation furthering the PT practice in the Philippines for the upcoming revised Physical Therapy Bill. She also wrote and presented a paper entitled Challenges of Women Healthcare Workers During the COVID-19 Pandemic in the Philippines in an international research conference held by Kes Shroff College of Arts and Commerce in India.
Aside from her work in healthcare, she was awarded the Most Outstanding Delegate award in the Asia Youth International Model United Nations in 2020 as she represented Finland in the International Monetary Fund on the topic of cryptocurrency. She has also served as a delegate for Younga by Bridging the Gap Ventures in discussing ideas, proposing solutions to global challenges, networking with global thought leaders, fellow changemakers, celebrity activists, and decision-makers, including UN officials. Aside from that, she also served as an ambassador for Aspire For Her, an India-based organization for women empowerment where she worked with the founders of the organization and met with representatives from HSBC for a partnership.
