YOUR RECOVERY STARTS HERE
What to expect in my first appointment?
in your first visit at Hands of Hope Physical therapy we are focused on evaluating your condition and reviewing your medical history. we will be asking you many general questions to determine your overall health, and then more specific questions about your condition. then we will objectively test your body for range of motion, flexibility, strength, posture and overall mobility to further diagnose the extent of your injury. Your starting evaluation will provide a baseline measurement so that you and your physical therapist can celebrate your progress as you move closer to reaching your personal goals.
What should I bring with me or what should I wear?
- Bring your referral from your referring physician, your ID and your insurance card, so that billing can be completed properly.
- Bring any splints or assistive devices that you may be using as a result of an injury, as well as any related medical records (MRI)
- Wear comfortable clothing that will allow your therapist to examine the area or body part that needs therapy. If you are coming from work, you may bring clothes to change into for your appointment.
